Meta, TikTok and Snapchat ads for brands in Saudi Arabia

The short answer

I run Meta, TikTok and Snapchat ads for Saudi brands and report from the store's order system. For Slic, a Saudi footwear brand, Zid recorded 216 orders and SAR 50,518 in sales from SAR 28,314 in ad spend through Ramadan and Eid 2025. The ad platforms had counted only 129 purchases.

Where it usually goes wrong

Saudi brands usually run three platforms and get three different counts of the same sales. Budget then moves to whichever platform claims the most, not to the one that sells. Reporting from the store fixes the decision before any creative changes.

Questions

Why report from Zid instead of the ad platforms?

Because they disagree. On Slic, Zid recorded 216 orders while the platforms counted 129. Budget decisions follow the store's number.

Is Snapchat worth it for Saudi brands?

It depends on the product and the audience. Slic ran Snapchat alongside Meta and TikTok, and the split was set by cost per purchase on Zid.

Do you include VAT in reported ad spend?

Yes. Slic's SAR 28,314 includes VAT, so the cost per order is what the brand actually paid.
